Please tell me where this is because "ghetto cupertino" is disappearing as people buy lots for $1.2M, mow down the 55 year old shack that was there, and build 3200 sq ft homes on them. I would love to buy a piece of property that might be "low".

BTW, how long ago did your friend live there?

There really WAS a ghetto section at one point, but I don't think it exists anymore... the "ghetto" original residents probably sold their properties and retired.

my bad. i mixed up the cupertino with sunnyvale. (btw, i'd kill to be able to get 3200 sq ft for only 1.2 mil)

if the job is in fremont, i'd just look for a place in fremont.

fremont can be pretty expensive tho, what about union city, hayward. you can take back roads to get in and out of the fremont area.

if you want lower prices near fremont, you'll try newark, or union city, but union city is starting to get up there in price too.... i'd just find a decent place in fremont

There is a big used market for 250s because they are safer for novice riders (assuming it is a regular 4-stroke). Admittedly, they will probably take a new SS or litre bike over the 250 if they can get it just because of the value.

BTW, there are a couple of bay area bike forums that you probably already know about:

www.bayarearidersforum.com

and

www.southbayriders.com

I used to live in Cupertino too, but couldn't afford to stay there when we needed to buy a bigger house. Freakin expensive.
+1 for bart. it's awesome!

i was house hunting between fremont and hayward/castro valley so i have a bunch of listings and flyers if you need any info.
