A good source to compare prices once you nailed down your choice would be www9.dealtime.com

Be wary of the places that have "the best deal". If it sounds too good to be true it is. Most of these places (like Infinity Micro for example) will advertise a price on their website. They'll sell you the camera for that price but they take out all of the accessories that normally come with the unit and try and sell them back to you at outrageous prices. They'll also want you to buy other accessories at outrageous prices. If you don't agree you will get a call the next day saying that "the item you ordered is all of the sudden out of stock". You'll basically never get your merchandise and have to haggle with them for months on end to get your money back. I've read story after story like this. B&H and buydig are both reputable dealers with good prices.
I also second View Askew's recommendation to check out dpreview. It was one of the premier sources on the net for reviews and information on consumer digicams.
Cheers, Joe

I own a Sony LS420
Olympus C-700 Ultra-zoom
Fuji Finepix S-602
as far as digital cameras go.
If you're looking to shop on-line, here are some places to look up prices:
www.pricegrabber.com
www.nextag.com
And if you're wanting to compare cameras, www.steves-digicams.com is my favourite place to go. Very resourceful and credible information. www.dpreview.com is also good, a little more tedious to navigate.
Good luck!
