I usually say whatever it is that's got me home sick. I don't call in sick unless I'm sick.

good way to not have sick days when you're sick is to call in sick when your not.

i guess it all depends on your work ethic, what you do, and who you work with. i've had co-workers call in sick because they didn't want to meet an up coming deadline of theirs, and other people on our team, including myself, have had to finish their work for them. it really sucks to have to do your own work as well as finish other people's work. especially when its so obvious that they called in sick when they weren't.

Having been in the military, I have a pretty strong "team player" mind set; do whatever it takes to accomplish the mission at hand, buudy needs help, you help..NOW.

I do understand that people in the civilian world is much more laid back, especially those with g-jobs.

What I have noticed is that those who call in sick frequently, have no concept of team play, as the world has always revolved around them.

its not that bad for you. Any of your co-workers can move over to the drive-thru window when you are not there...

meh.. i just use my vacation hours... Our company used to have a "personal day". It was one day in the year you can use to just have the day off, kinda like taking sick for no apparent reason. It was pretty much taken out with 9day/80 hr work weeks installed...

Actually i'm less needed then a drive-thru cashier here. Sorta, now i'm not sense all the other students are quiting because of my boss....

I got a lil outside the box thinking for you all....

Work can be stressful...

At times of high stress it can leed you to become very sick where you will need more then just a single day off....

I take a day off of work on a high stress day.... ONE day.... i come back to work the next day revitalized because I was able to have an entire day of nothing, inside knowing that I should be at work.... My stress levels plumit...

yours on the other hand continues to rise and rise.... You now get sick, and miss several days.... I on the other hand am perfectly healthy since I didn't let the stress build up...

Congrats champ, you now let down the team for then me

1. please use English

2. I am never out for more then 1 day if I am actually ill. When I am home I make sure my work is taken care of to make sure it does not impact the rest of my team

FYI: I think in the past 2 years, I have been out ill for 2-3 days at the most, and not in a row.
