Good deal at Kragen for oil and filter

Just popped into Kragen for some oil and the guy told me about a special they are having through 3/30. 5qts of Castrol SYNTEC and a K&N oil filter for $27.99. Not a bad deal. I've got 10 OEM filters at home but, hell...

do what i do..Take the Kragen print out and take it to Autozone...Kragen does not carry Syntec 0w30, in my area only Autozone does..I have them price match it..they always do...just my 2cents if you want 0w30 rather than 5w30

Autozone has a deal 5qt of castrol edge and fram filter for 30. Hella just 5qt alone you looking @ almost 40, and then I just get the fram filter for one of my father in laws cars and give it to him because I do not use that fram junk on my car.

Has anyone seen gallon jugs of castrol edge anywhere?

If I remember right, Syntec isn't really a synthetic

Yeah - I went back and checked... natural base, not the same chemical abilities as say Amsoil, Redline or Joe Gibbs

Again - you get what you pay for

The one in the black bottle. I use a 10/30, have used Castrol for a long time. I've also used Amsoil, Mobile1. Many of the benefits of Amsoil go out the window with regular drain intervals. FWIW My first rod bearing spun while using Amsoil. I have experienced no increase in consumption with Castrol. It runs smooth as can be after service. I will continue to use it. 5qts every 3500 miles.

The coupon is in the Kragen flyer at the store.
