same thing happened to me a few years back when me and my girlfriend was driving in her nissan sentra. we were stopped and a ford aerostar rams up from behind at about 35 mph and totals the car. (old lady) I jump out of the car and immediately proceed to write her license plate down and ask her to pull over. she yells for the police. lol she though it was my fault. lol I call the police then they explain to the lady that it was HER fault.
good thing this happened to us while we were younger. but sometimes my girl still has back problems..... i wish we pursued things further... you never know if you have back problems down the road if it arose because of the accident or not.

I highly recommend you get the guy's insurance company to comp you for some physical therapy for your neck. I got rear ended about a month and a half ago and it totaled my car, neck was killing me. The physical therapy exercises helped a lot.

I also went through a similar situation but the driver was in a Tacoma. my driver side quarter was replaced, trunk lid, rear bumper, lower floor pan, frame rail, right quarter blended and $15k later my car is like new again. I also got a new exhaust out of it and a wingless trunk lid=)
This is the second time my cars been in an accident once before with my friend driving =/
i didnt feel any pain or discomfort untill about 3 weeks later though. treatments been going well ive been going since late april.
Glad your ok and did you already have a shop in mind for repairs?

Get good treatment and get well soon!
I'm still experiencing random stiff back problems (mostly on cold mornings) thanks to my similar accident last year. Not fun being 25 and complaining about about back problems.

Daniel, I hope your car is ok, and I really hope your ok. Back issues can suck and linger so hopefully a few days and its gone for good.
refering to the Indian comment:
its funny that the racist card got pulled, a little talk was thrown around for it being a stereotype, and in the end it was exactly what he had said, an Indian. every race has stupid people though, none of us are exempt.

Just FYI
CA Vechicle code states that regardless of circumstance the car in the rear is always at fault. Only exemption is if the car in front was backing up.
Bruce - dude we need to find the voodoo doll of you someone is shoving pins into. If you want, I know a really badassed Chiropractor in Sunnyvale who also does massage therapy. Going to see him tonight myself; even running it through my insurance
