Lakers have a subpar game and still pull off the win. Not looking good for the magic getting ANY games. This could be a sweep. I was giving the magic one game but now I'm not so sure.

 

really hyped for this one! obviously, it's a MUST-win for the Magic and not for the Lake Show, but, imo, this game will really encapsulate our attitude. if we come out non-chalant and un-focused, it would be a big mistake. I still like our chances to win the series, but we have the opportunity to put a stranglehold on the Magic+this series! we gott stay locked-in and step on their necks while we have the chance!

great game so far by both squads! as hot as KB was, the Magic were even hotter....75% from the field!? no way can they keep that up, but we can't just depend on them to cool off. we gotta close out on shooters better and MAKE them miss shots!

additionally, we need to cut down our turnovers...too many sloppy passes+missed opportunities! at least we stopped picking up cheap fouls, but our guys still have to be aggressive on D, esp hitting he boards+going after loose *****. there weren't too many rebs to be had cuz of ORL's good shooting, but we can't slack off our effort+intensity!

w/the ball, we are settling for too many long J's! go inside-outside and get Pau, Drew, & Lamar more involved! Trevor has to step up too...check Hedo & Shard better, and also keep moving on offense. we NEED more ball movement to make the Magic work harder!

just keep playing hard & don't just stand around watching KB. he's having a great scoring game, but we can't let him do everything himself!

Kobe missing free throws. Bunch of odd fouls. The game was there for them but Kobe kind of fell off and Gasol made a couple mental errors.

I mean kobe took ONE shot in the first 12 minutes of the quarter... WTF?

 

This game is all about the 2nd half =p. It was a good game, only thing I'd mention is an uncharacteristic 5/10 FT's for Kobe, rare.

 

Yeah, it was kinda playground basketball for them in the last few minutes. It's all good. I didn't expect them to do this good for this first game in Orlando. I thought Orlando would kick-a**. Great challenge by the Lakers. Just win one there and it's over.

 

yeah. It's almost like the lakers were suppose to loose but keep it interesting. The NBA doesn't make any money on the last 3 games if they're not played.

 

Eh, speculative. Spurs pwned the cavs a few years ago 4-0. I just think it depends on the teams, luckily we'll have somewhat of a series out of this match up.

 

disappointing but props to Orlando. they played great and deserved this win. i was wrong....they did keep their hot shooting going. KB was the one that cooled off ....bad!

KB's our dude, but he was awful the 2nd half....couldn't hit shots (forcing many of them)+turned the ball over several times, and, worst of all, bricked way too many FTs, incl during crunch time. our whole squad gave up too many pts at the line.....missing our own & fouling the Magic too much. you're not going to win when you let Dwight Howard outshoot you!

well, it's a series again. the Magic now have a pulse and confidence. we came to Orlando to get AT LEAST one, but game 4 should be a must win for us. we can't let them even up the series and give them even more life! re-group+recharge & come back focused again on Thursday!

back in action in a couple.....important game for BOTH squads! Lake Show need to come out & make a concerted effort to squash the budding confidence of the Magic! we've been playing pretty well for a while now and have to keep it going, but ORL is starting to hit shots, and their homecrowd really gives them a boost! Lamar, Trevor, & Luke have to check Shard & Hedo. If they get their J's to fall early, they're hard to stop!

on offense, good ball movement is essential to our success! pound it inside to Drew+Pau to put put pressure on Dwight & their bigs and also create open shots for the rest of our guys. we can't settle for just J's either. Make STRONG moves, and convert in the paint or get FTs!
