Great win for the deservedly tough and defensive-minded Celtics. I haven't seen this great a defense since the 1995-96 Bulls team that won 72 games. I still remember Phil Jackson (ironically) dubbing his defense "letting out the dobermans" when they could shut teams down for 3-4 quarters.
This win is as good as the 06 Finals in which Payton, Mourning, Walker & Posey won their rings. Wish Malone won 1 a few years back; that would have been worth seeing to have the old-timer win at least 1 championship.
The best part about this Finals is the unbelievable and unattainable talent MJ proved to be compared to the rest of the NBA. There is one and only one MJ; all comparisons are now and forever useless/disqualified/irrelevant.
Kobe deserves these defeats; hell MJ suffered for 3 straight years at the hands of the Pistons in the playoffs before he got over the hump and found ways to will his team over them.

Man, I've been a Warriors fan since I started watching hoops 15 years ago. I haven't been a fan of pro basketball as long as a lot of people I know who've been watching it since they were 5 or whatever. Sat through all the bullcrap; multiple head coaches, Webber getting traded for Tom Gugliotta and a bag of peanuts, Joe Smith, Latrell choking the hell out of Carlisimo, Todd Fuller, Adonal Foyle, Mike Dunleavy, etc. Dubs get hated on when the Lake Show can't win a championship and the Kings suck *** right now. Warriors are still my team even if they have the worst record in the league or miss the playoffs for another decade.

just wanna say Congrats to Celtics and their fans ... they deserved it and wanted it real bad. Lakers on the other hand ..... just gave up like in second quarter when Celtics had 23 point lead. but there is next season always.

almost time for the Lake Show to get back on their grind. as long as everyone stays healthy, esp KB+Bynum, we should be back in the title hunt again. hopefully they can stay focused and finish the job this time.
good luck to the Warriors too, but i have a feeling they're gonna be back to more years of re-bulding. i hope i'm wrong, but their squad just has too many holes to get back to the playoffs.
GO LAKERS!!!!!!
