gf learning manual car
so i always wanted my gf to know how to drive manual cars, incase sometime im feeling lazy to drive or any other reasons.
but letting her practice on my car hurts my feeling...everytime she stalls, feels like someone just punched my heart...i tried not to say anything, but of course i do make corrections. after few times, she did well, but still needs more practice. im sure many of you guys taught your gf/wife how to drives stick, any experience like this?
is it bad to stall the car many times in short time of period? im sure its bad, but how bad... just worries me...

Take her to an open lot and have her feel out the engagement point on a clutch by having the hand brake up a few notches. It's tedius, but once she knows where it engages, she'll know when to apply the gas.
Constantly stalling a car shouldn't kill your car, it just makes the engine die. I'm not sure if there are any lasting effects, but it does feel crappy when the car sputters violently.

I still kill my car once a week and I learned to drive a stick when I was 13 and have driven stick since. Thanks to my lightened flywheel and grippier clutch. :sigh:

yeah tell her to take her time. I've taught two chicks how to drive stick, and its terrible, the most brutal engine-killings I've ever seen. If women can't treat you're cars stick properly, how will they treat yours?
By the way, multiple kill-restarts of the engine may drain the battery. Not sure how bad, but I was running it close in the jetta.
