I love Sake. Especially when I'm with friends at my favorite Sushi place....Ace Wasabi's Rock N Roll Sushi in San Francisco!

saki is not my friend. I can drink whiskey all day long. Saki....i'm done for. Especially that unfiltered isht. I'm not the biggest fan of the taste anyways....tastes like warm rubbing alcohol.

I did a search and here is what it is described by:
Denshu, Junmai-shu, Aomori Prefecture

Every year, this sake tops the "op 100 warmed sake"lists in Japan. Good, solid construction with a nice rice-laden flavor. A true "mami,"that hard-to-describe deliciousness, comes out when slightly warmed.

also:

Denshu is perennially on a list of favorite sake, especially favorite O-kan(warmed sake) selections. Denshu has a proper rice flavor with a great texture to it. A very mild fruity tone to the fragrance as well. A sake-drinker's sake that grows on you quickly.

Nice thread BTW - making a "To Drink List..." much better than a "To Do"
Wow... sounds nice. To bad i'll never be able to find it. But there's still thousands out in the world waiting for me to try.

There are a couple Japanese restaurants in Sunnyvale that sell it and one in San Fran that I know of. In Sunnyvale - Saizo (kind of a small , low key joint, but good food and Denshu) and Hamasushi (a bit pricier and it has a small lounge that plays live music on Sat nights for after dinner drinks - I think it's actually in Cupertino). I'll have to ask the wife about the name of the place in SF - it's near pier 14 down the way from Gordon Biersh off of Steuart St. (more trendy joint with a pretty good sake selection but a bit on the pricey side).
