I had a recurve bow when I was a kid. My father bought me some arrows and a target. I got bored with this in no time. I found much more fun to hide behind trees and Shoot arrows into the air like old school warfare. I found it particularly fun to plant them into the side of the house. When questioned, I blamed it on woodpeckers. Everyone knows that wood peckers have a thing for cedar shingles.
Growing up with lots of space wasn't too bad.

good stuff. I recommend diesel+fertilizer in a large plastic jar, and shooting it with 8mm tracer rounds from a Mauser army rifle.

I have been shooting/competing since childhood and I even worked in an Archery Pro shop for a long while. After hours when the shop was closed we used to have employee range time and that was always fun! We shot all kinds of ****!! You have no idea how much fun it is to blow **** up with an arrow; we used to shoot flaming arrows into M-80s, cans of hairspray and spary paint, SO much fun!!!

Where the hell is an Archery Range? It's been a long while (since Boy Scouts), but I love me some compound bow action!

There's a shop in Gilroy with an indoor range up to 40yards and I know Salinas has the huge Salinas Bowmn Range outdoor and MtMadonna has a huge outdoor range.
Let me know if you wanna go shoot sometime. I'd love to have someone to shoot with! I have 3 compounds, but I rarely get to shoot since I am taking a break from competition.

I shoot in my in-laws back yard. Foam target and giant hay bale backstop and like 5 acres. I could probably get away with it in my backyard because there's plenty of room, but I don't want to freak out the neighbors. Can't wait to get my daughters into it.

I need to stop looking at bows for myself while researching kid's bows.
