genuinely confused... evo x ftl?
so one of my close friends has an evo x gsr... he has a cold air intake, an axleback, and a cobb tuner set to stage 1 and made for his intake.
i have a 2010 wrx with a cobb short ram and tsudo n1 catback, no tune yet...
we just ran a bunch of times and we were pretty much dead even, i pulled ahead a little every shift...
then we switched and drove each others cars, and again, the cars were even, but my shifts were faster...
so how is it that an evo x, which should be faster than an sti, is slower than a wrx?
im thinking he needs a midpipe, and a protune... but even stock vs stock he should be smoking me, so why isnt he?

they are like the gt is faster than the spec b. you can hit 60 in that 2nd. as far as evo vs you. the 09+'s are pretty quick stock. but... i bet you above 100 that evo will be ahead.

something is up with his tune. if tuned and modded properly man they are monsters.
the MR kills on the track, but sucks in 1/4 mile times, then of course gsr is inferior in track but can be crazy fast in 1/4 times. its that automagic on the mr.

He should put a body kit and ground effects on it. That should be good for about 20 more horses. Maybe a big wing on the back. If he put is some street glow I bet he would kill you in the 1320.

his problem is the cobb AP.
Proper tune from Bryan @GST stock GSR should be ~290 whp
NO MODs down to the paper filter
that AP probably must be making it run terrible, the factory tune for 10+ is probably better IMHO.
He should call Sean @ FFTEC and sort things out.

norcalbmxer4u, you friend should be looking at using this EvoScan OBDII Mitsubishi Subaru DataLogger Scantool
All of the Evos drivers I know that take their car to the track and autox consistently use it.
