Gauging interest for a "long" days drive involving dirt
#47
Will this be primarily flat dirt/gravel roads...or hill climbing/exploring?
I dont give a ***** about my paint, but I dont want to worry about getting stuck or breaking anything.
I went to hollister in my wrx when it was stock ride height(lots of fun!) but I would never go back now with my prodrive springs.
Let me know

there are some flat parts. but there will be plenty of up and over large hills. lots of twisties, some large gravel, possibly a river crossing or two (depending on road conditions). i'll really have to get out there to see what everything looks like.
check back next week for more information.

Sounds good. I love that area.
There is an uphill section by Bartlett springs that has a nice red dirt base with some ball bearing like pebbles. Traction is awesome with just the right amount of slide

well, i DID go on the scouting trip after all today (saturday) and the roads are ready for us. there are some scatchy areas which i have took the time to mark out the mileage of there locations.
i do not recommend this drive to anyone that is much lower than stock. there are some very bad places where unless you have a skid plate onder the car you my destroy your oil pan etc...
tomorrow i will start a new thread with all the infomation and the route. as well as a list of the hopefuls
