Fundraiser for Dylan Levy (photography and graphic design services)
I'm trying to get my freelance photography and graphic design company going and I've been kicking this idea around for a while, and finally have the time to execute it. (pricing on next post).
From now until the end of the year, 50% of the profits* from any photography booking (book before 12/31/11, shoot before 12/31/12) or beginning of a design project will be donated to the fund for Dylan Levy (Noah of LIC's son). The shoot does not have to happen before the end of the year, you just need to book it before that. Design jobs need to start (meaning consultation meeting) before the end of the year though.
There is no limit on this! 50% of profit from ANYTHING, including but not limited to:
Photography:
holiday cards
family portraits
pet portraits
holiday parties
senior portraits booked for next year
company parties/events
Design:
Logos/Branding
Buisiness card/stationery
Posters
If your work is looking to do something and needs to hire an outside designer or photographer send me a PM, and I'll drop off my card for you or give you my email address.

Blog post for donation project --> http://blog.mattbasile.net/?p=77
*50% of what is left after any necessary equipment rentals, proofing costs, and material fees.

yeah...
I just had a class from CSUMB in the office today bouncing career questions off me. It was tough to give advice to a bunch of kids getting ready to enter the industry WITH degrees when I don't have one. LOL.
Kids had never seen a pantone swatch book before. I was like... wtf am I really that o.g.
