FU Thieves (ATTN: Bicycle Guys)

Some asshat stole the wheels of my Swobo this past Friday (March 5). I won't get into details about how/why it happened. I wasn't riding it, someone was borrowing it.

If any of you come across a red wheelset with red Swobo hubs (they have the shopping cart logo etched into them) please let me know.

Friggin' sucks. I haven't seen the bike yet, and I'm not sure I want to. I'd just replace them with a different wheelset, but part of the reason I like the bike is the red wheels.

Thanks!

Oh yeah, hubs look like...

Bike...

I'll keep a lookout for them here in SJSU/downtown. There are a bunch of kids
and teens here who like to go around and steal imporperly locked wheels for their poorly built fixed gear bikes. This is why I'm riding and locking up my fixed gear a lot less now.

Yeah, I noticed. I'm still pretty angry about this whole thing.

Thanks for keeping an eye out.

I hate bike thieves. I had my Redline BMX race bike stolen... my fault. My Specialized stolen... kinda my fault. My Cannondale DS race mtb stolen.... that one pissed me off big time. Had well over $3k into it and it was a hard tail. Custom everything. Dude cut the water pipe off at the house I was living to slide it off the pipe... was krypto locked on to it.

And I just went out to my shed to grab my Cannondale road bike to throw on the stationary trainer... friggin gone. WTF? My shed... in the middle of BFE. I don't know what happened to it... hmmm

good luck. I'll keep my eyes out. Check the MTBR classifieds as well as craigslist. If it pops up on pinkbike I can find the person selling them.

I've been looking at CL, so far nothing. I have a feeling they aren't going to pop up unless someone sees them. They're not exactly common wheels/hubs.

Thanks for keeping eyes, guys.

I told all the bicycle people I know downtown which isn't many. I have no idea if they even look at those sites. I didn'tk now that was a site until just now.

If you're a member and don't mind looking that would be solid.
