Modular design.
My PC doesn't come preloaded with stuff I'll never use. If I want to add more memory, disk space, a new video card, or a newer or quieter fan I can do that without taking it to a specialist or getting a new system.

EDIT: Oh, and iPhoto I don't use because I prefer Adobe lightroom's cataloging over iPhoto's
This isn't a prodding rhetorical question, but a serious one. On the PC's can you drag and drop files between programs? Specifically Adobe stuff.

I have both a macbook and a Asus g51J-A1.. i use the macbook mainly for school/ browsing the web/watching ****.. and the asus for gaming only.. honestly os x is a more user friendly interface and really easy to understand... but if you really want to get into some extreme gaming windows is the way to go.. i've played games on macbook pros with bootcamp.. and it's just not the same.

I do enjoy the ease of use on macs, but don't like the lack of right click and its price. Thankfully, Apple switched to Intel chips a while back and my friends and I have been building and using Hackintoshes with great success. At about 2/3rd the price you can have a computer that will smoke its mac equivalent. So there are ways around the main problems of purchasing apple products.
As far as business practices go, MS is definitely the more evil of the two, as they constantly infringe patent rights. Shoot, their lawsuits have cost them way more and serve as a clear indicator to their business practices. Of course, Apple ain't no angel either, they're being hit with iPad patent infringements too. But I will say this: Given MS' larger market share in desktop and peripheral markets and their longer period with such control, they have done way less to sustain their market share than they should or could have. No surprise here as to Apple's come-upance. MS should be shaking in their boots right about now, especially with Google coming up in the OS dept. as well.

Im not quite sure about that. Perform comperably? Sure. Apple typically provides a custom Intel chip/chipset in their equipment that is comperable to the top of the line parts available. Macbook Pro's have the i7-m and i5-m processors and the macbooks were the first laptops readily available with the core 2duo mobile processor, AND they were able to keep the battery life long. You can match it, but I doubt you can improve upon that. Where I find Apple really suffering is HDD speed. Add in a raptor and the mac will be the fastest machine out there.

The way I see it, buy what suits your needs. I can't use apple products at work for automation applications, so there is really no need for me to have it. I like PC and prefer it because I am comfortable with it. Nothing against apple, they just don't run allen-bradley software on it. I do have an iphone though and enjoy it.
- Boot Camp (Mac OSX Partition, my least favorite because you have to switch partitions)
- VMWare Fusion (Windows Virtual Machine, as well as Linux Systems - my preferred choice, run Windows in a little screen on your mac desktop, or go full screen.)
- Crossover (Let's you run windows applications on the Mac screen, no Virtual Machine)
I work with a PC here at the office, and what sucks is that they won't upgrade the hardware or update the software. I'm running IE 6.0 for crying out loud here at work. They won't allow users to run Chrome, Firefox or Opera. Meh.

I do like that I can upgrade my PC whenever I feel the need, but honestly I've found myself using my Macbook Pro more, it is just more stable and doesn't freeze if I have too many applications open.
I mainly use my computers for web-development, Internet use, music, and making video's.
I also use iPhoto to upload directly to Facebook which is pretty nice.

I love my iPhone but I think that I might get an android-based phone for my second line, I love that it's an open-source operating system. I love tinkering with things haha.
I can't wait for the Android Operating System to be made readily available for PC/Mac use.

On a macbook, you can click with two fingers on the trackpad and it is teh same as a right click. Or you can ctrl click to get an alt-menu.

xbox was a failure IMO. They even had to go to xbox 360, and went cheap on that.
PS3 still blows out every system. Word goes around that the PS3 can roll with 3D blueray on some firmware upgrade. If that is the issue, that's one helluve a smart investment.
