FS: Barryvox Avalanche Tranceiver by Mammut

I have one brand new tranceiver for sale. This is obviously for the serious backcountry skier/snowboarder. I purchased two of them and have never opened/used them and would like to sell one. I used this model on both of my heli-trips in Canada. They were provided by the Heli company and were very easy to use. So when I got back from my last trip I purchased two for myself. Anyway here is a decripsion of the tranceiver:

The Barryvox Tranceiver, now distributed by Mammut, was introduced in the US a few years ago and has been a huge hit with backcountry enthusiasts of all abilities. It is a giant leap forward in transceiver technology offering both analog and digital search modes and the ability to switch back and forth between the two. A stream of range and directional data appears on an easy to interpret digital display, guiding the user along an induction line to the buried victim. There is no need for manual adjustment as you approach the victim. Simple one touch button operation is intuitive and easy to use—even for the uninitiated. Runs on 3 AAA batteries for a minimum 200 hrs. transmission time. It comes with THE most comfortable and best designed harness system we’ve ever seen.

Bottom Line: When time counts, the simplest most intuitive transceiver wins! Barryvox’s versatile and easy to use beacon featuring dual search mode, and lightweight design takes our prize hands down.

Price $200.00 (Retails for $299.00 + s/h & tax.)

dude! right! I know that! But when I originally posted it there was not a classifiedsectioninBAIC! All I did was bump it up! And it went where it wanted to go.

If some mod wants to move it to the classifiedsectioninBAIC then go ahead!

I'm grumpy today!

I don't care dude...it's the little internet-nannies here that like to point it out. I think the separate classifieds was a lame idea.

Cool item though. Wish I was daring enough to need it!
