... and the wife and I are booked for next month. The costs really add up though... the class is only the first cost.
You then have:
Criminal Background check ($50 per person).
Transportation to Pahrump.
Rental car for 5 days if you fly.
Hotel for 4 nights or 5 if you're like me.
Ammo 600-800rds each.
$50 per gun shipping costs to an FFL where you then pay their fee too... which for me was $75 per person.
For me this was all for my wife and I.
I'll post up my experience when I return but I'm no expert so...

Yikes...lol.
Handgun shooting has evolved significantly over the past 20 years. Front Sight teaches a decent course for beginners I suppose. They'll teach you the fundamentals like proper sight alignment and trigger control, etc. However, they are definitely behind the curve when it comes to teaching modern handgun fighting. I'm not saying Weaver is obsolete, different situations dictate what stance you use. You might not even be shooting from a standing position in a gunfight. It's good to train for every contingency. The fact that Front Sight only teaches one shooting stance is silly.
It might also be beneficial to get some instructional DVD's like the Magpul Dynamics Handgun videos also to supplement your training. Going to a class is great, but having something you can go back and watch to refresh yourself before and after training is also very useful. GL to you.

and we're back!
I'm really not the best at writing out long reviews so here goes just a little bit of my experience.
ok, I'll begin by saying that the range masters and instructors were all top notch in the way they handled the class and the training itself was very in depth. It's far more than "just a shootin' school". There were quite a few lectures as well as a lot of range time. Having completed the course but not getting a graduating score is ok with me. There was a lot of information to absorb and training that I needed to practice before going that I was unable to due to a lack of equipment and training materials. If anyone is planning on getting the Patriot Package I suggest having it all sent to you well in advance so you can practice with your weapon in the way they will teach you. Having a well broken in gun would have been very helpful.
So, the trainers had no bad or boot camp attitudes/mentality. They were all very nice and respectful. This is super important as the goal is to get "normal responsible citizens" well trained and armed. I'm not saying they were not strict. They were and with very good reason of course.
As far as Weaver vs Isosceles goes... I can't argue as to which is better. I have now learned one and will develop my skills using it. If I can present my weapon from it's holster and deliver two rounds to the thoracic cavity in under 2 seconds from 15 yards I'll be happy (and one more to the ocular cavity if that doesn't stop them). I have to work on that.
It was very interesting sitting in the lecture hall with 300-400 armed people.
All in all... I plan on returning as soon as my budget will allow me too... I would take the four day course again (anyone want to go?). I would prefer either later in the year before it gets cold or earlier in the year before it gets really, really hot.
There are some very in depth reviews of the 4 day class online that I've read and they pretty much mirror my experience... pretty much.
BTW- my wife... scored higher than I did...

I suppose you also have more operational experience and credentials than Travis Haley and Chris Costa too.
FYI, there's only one "P" in apart.

The owner of this place just moved next door to my parents and put in a crazy rediculous bomb / survival habitat that is burried 15' with retaining walls around it.

I've just got to say... the Magpul videos blow the frontsight videos away... the Frontsight ones could use some serious updating... the training was/is still very good and I can't wait to go back.
It does appear that a lot of the techniques were the same to me.
