Free lifetime powertrain warranty at Capitol Subaru
I just has a long conversation with Shaun, the owner of Capitol Subaru, today about his goals of achieving 100% customer satifaction. He really means it! His first step is to offer liftime powertrain warranty to all cars, new and used, that they sell at no added cost to the customer. I think that is really great value added to buying a car from them. Look for more exciting news coming from them in the upcoming days and months.

While I agree that the warranty may not be a perfect fit for everyone, but it is added value for those of us who are a little more conservative in our mods. As in my case, I enjoy my car in almost stock form and would have loved to have a free lifetime powertrain warranty.
+1 for Capitol Subaru for being the first dealership in California to offer such a warranty at no added cost to the customer.

I have to think they will reconsider when they are faced with a lot full of 7-10 year old WRX's needing valve and head work, but good of them to offer.
Unless someone out there has gotten to 200,000 miles on the original motor?

customer satisfaction could be worked on elsewhere. the powertrain warranty would be chauffeuring to subaru's customer, not the dealership's. since the problems that arise is related to the subaru company's design and not something the dealership really has power over. and i bet the dealership is going to have a hard time getting subaru to pay for broken transmissions.
it's good to hear, but it's sitll all words. they can always deny you for one reason or the other.
