First of all, I just want to THANK ALL OF YOU folks out there. You guys have been referring a lot of folks my way, and some only know of me, and I have yet to have the opportunity to provide you the services. I get many referrals outside of i-club as well, and I owe it to you all!

Stupid Dent was established about a year+ ago with the main focus on PDR (Paintless Dent Removal). Thanks to you guys, I was loaded with appointments just about every other day. And I soon realized it was too much to handle with my current work/personal life. I decided to take a gradual approach and started doing minor detail related work instead, and slowly ramped down my PDR service. As you know, I am a mobile guy and don’t have a shop, which make things much easier for me to deal with. And the gradual growth has been kind to me.

I have recently launched the Auto Detail Service, and as the business grows slowly, but steadily, I am ready for an upgrade! So here I am, asking for you help once more. I am okay with php and db stuff, but I am horrible in the arts department. I am looking for couple of designs in the priority order below (lowest to highest).

Logo: It’s not too big of a deal for me at this point, but my current logo is PDR related and would like something more generic for auto detail. Looking for something in the same size as the one I have right now.


i-club Vendor Banner: I am just looking for something simple and 468x60 but not UGLY like what I had created. I am pretty good at creating ugly banners all by myself, thank you very much.


Site Banner: I would like to have a nice banner, maybe even functional, for my site. I like how GST and Speed Element have their sites with the large banner up top. I hate to be a copycat, but I like them.

I will provide you a one time auto detail service in exchange for the source and the right to use the design(s). Obviously you have to be local for me to provide you the auto detail service. We’ll work out the detail package ones the design has been selected. Mean while you can just show a smaller image or have watermarks on them. Let me know if this is a fair deal and SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT!

i think you need to change the overall name of the biz.

just like amazon when it first started, no where is the word "books"...

when people see "stupid dent", it's the word dent that confuses them.

but then again, i dont know how much you have invested in that name already...

 

it has been considered... But the name kind of stuck with us... I'll sleep on it some more...

 

StupidDent is an awesome name!! Because dents are stupid!!

 

yes, that's exactly how we came up with that name. but doesn't work very well with auto detailing. Does calling it "Stupid Dent Auto Detail" help? I kind of agree with Leo (ldivinag), but Stupid Dent is one heck of a name too!

 

But people will remember the name though. That's the important thing.

 

that's the main reason we decided not to change it. Plus, I would really like to pick up PDR again in the future.

 

When's the due date for the logo design?

 

no due date at this point... Do you think that would help 'push' people along with the design? Once I see a few I might set one, but not right now...

 

It sounds like you're in no hurry, but you do need a logo. I'm just wondering just in case I come up with a good idea. Definitely, the best one you can get, the better.

 

Whoever designs Leo's logo, you also need to create a 200x75 button, using a 2pixel border, so I can replace the one on my website. TIA.
