Fixit Ticket

Fixit Ticket
Today I was driving to class, and got pulled over by a cop who preceded to give me a ticket for tinted tail lights, and modified exhaust.
I am pretty sure my greddy evo2 is carb legal, but not sure.
I will have to take off my taillight and side marker tint.
unless...
Has anyone never done anything with a fix-it ticket? and just thrown it away?
I really hate cops and this made me hate them more. i want to get out of the ticket, but don't know how, besides actually "fixing" my ride.

LOL sure you can throw it away...they will just send you more with bigger fines...throw those away and you will be arrested next time youre pulled over.
hate cops huh? thats an intelligent thing to say.
just like
preceded
Lets see how much you hate cops after moving to another country with bullets whizzing past your head...mentioning heads, some countries you'd be lucky to hold onto your head. Mexico is calling your name.

^This thread has a lot of useful information. Fixit ticket charges are $25 per correctable violation that you pay after you get it written off by an officer. I had 2 fixits last year and it only cost me $10 after I got both of them written off (no front plate and broken headlight) They increased the fee starting in 2009. There are two types of modified exhuast tickets I believe: VC 27151 (a) - correctable? and VC 27151 (b) - non-correctable. I fought and won a VC 27151 (b) in 2007 in santa clara county but I may have just lucked out. trial by declarion FTW! Good luck, I would say try and fight to get the tickets written off! Unless you work 60 hours a week, it shouldnt be too hard to find a cop or chp station.

Tinted tail lights 95% of the time look like *** and are very illegal and a sure fire way to get a ticket.
Your exhaust is illegal in the loop hole side of the law in the fact that ALL aftermarket exhausts are technically illegal.
Depending on what kind of ticket you got you can just take it off and get it changed. But you may have to go to the ref. Or you could get it DB checked and keep it on. All depends on what citation you got.
If all you got was a fix it then count yourself lucky. Change the parts. Pay your $75 and move on. I've had my fair share of fix its and I'm sure I'll get more. And sure I ***** and moan.
Sucks that they raised it to $25 per offense now. That's gonna irritate me. haaa.
