it sucks indeed. i just use touch.facebook.com

i've actually run into alot of problems with the droid though i'm over all happy with it. downloaded youtube videos go haywire until i restart, music stops on its own, i can't open gallery for pictures (have go through camera).

i'm guessing its problems caused by installing apps to customize the phone.

i only had problems with my phone before the update they released the update dec 6. i have had very few probs with the phone so far.

before the update my phone would reset randomly even mid conversation.

i dont prefer to use dolphin browser, but it does have its plus side when i want to view and actual web page not just its mobile version.

What are everyone's favorite apps?

I have like 5 favorites i use everyday

#1 is the task killer, its the best for shutting down **** you dont need running.
#2 Slacker radio, i tried pandora and i really didnt like it, plus slacker has a comedy channel
#3 the googles maps with navigation is great. its an aquired taste if you like the old vz navigator, but it works well, i just wished it would repeat directions so i wouldnt have to look at my phone
#4 aCar- its an app that you can enter info about gas fill ups, oil changes, and whatnot. it keeps track of your gas mileage, how much you are spending on your car, and keeps track of mileage between services.

edit: every post i have done since november has been on my droid

Got to mess with a Nexus One last night and really liked it. Not liking how much I'd have to pay if I were to get one though. There are things I like in the HTC Hero unfortunately it doesn't look like its coming to T-Mobile. However a few things I like I believe are OS so I'm hoping they carry over to the Nexus One or can get them another way.

^^Yeap heard the best deal for current T-Mobile customers to get the Nexus One is $350. Google sells you the Nexus One for $150 but you have to cancel with T-Mobile, pay the $200 early termination fee then setup a new account when you buy the phone through Goggle.

Be careful when buying the phone from google... b/c although its an open phone, I dont' believe the hardware in the phone supports the verizon or at&t 3G network. I know it supports the Tmobile 3G network b/c this is what I use as google is paying for my plan. Rumors around here is that Verizon will pick up the Nexus in March and they will have their own version of the phone (verizon only nexus one). Until then you should probably wait unless you are already on the tmobile network or you want to use only tmobile.

go onto the Market and download a free app called AppInstaller. then put any of the apk. files you want onto your SD card. when you run AppInstaller it will auto detect what files are there and you can download from there. but go into settings and make sure that you have Unknown Sources OK checked or you cant install from the SD.

any other questions, just text me Ray. 650-931-5120

I thought they had fixed that? Jeez. Well you can still run apps like navigation and switch to calling on the new Android phones right?

...Right?

my top apps.

1. lock 2.0 (music, brightness, status bar without unlocking phone + themes)
2. freshface (5 screens, transparent apps window, etc.)
3. astro file manager
4. dolphine browser (not the browser itself but it allows downloading youtube videos)
5. advanced task manager (best task killer/manager imo)
6. SNESoid
