Fight The Man, or pay the city.

So I was on my way to work this afternoon on a back road. It was raining heavily and I was driving the speed limit (35mph). I noticed a Pleasanton Police Department black and white parked the wrong way in the nearest parking lot. I cruise by going the speed limit and notice that he has left the parking lot. I stop at the light leading to my work and he pulls in behind me. The light turns green and I give it a few seconds then proceed on. He lights me up and pulls me over at the bank. I pull over, roll down all my windows, shut off my car and place the keys on the dash. He comes up to my window and says that I was doing 46 in a 35. I know for a fact that this is not true, but didn't see the point of arguing with him.

So is it worth going to court for this, or just take it up the behind and pay the "driving an import in the bay" operations tax?

I know for a fact that he wasn't using radar, and there's no way I would attempt that turn at that speed in these conditions.

I guess it could be worse, but I didn't do anything wrong. (this time)

Thoughts from the internet please.

Go to court and fight it. You were only cited for speeding right?

first, did he say how he got your speed? request the guns last calibration report asap.make sure to get a copy of the request because you will never see the actual report.that way when you get your court notice and request a written trial you can submit it as evidence.also, read up on the ticket assasin website.if you do it right you end up keeping your money
also, advise that payment is a hardship

Written Declaration Trial and as always its not what you know, its what you can prove. Prove that cop wrong and you were in the right.

Written Declaration, after a good 6 months he probably won't remember you. If it was just speeding and you were cooperative, I bet he doesn't have the actual log time and hit when you were supposedly speeding.

No, but that's what is says on the ticket.

How do I go about asking for the calibration, some sort of form or something?

Google search TR205. That's the form you need.

Does the log time and hit help in this situation? And what do those terms mean?

I was pulled over the other day for "speeding" as well. And he asked if I have any illegal parts on my car (my car is literally bone stock besides wheels right now). And I laughed and asked to see the gun. He proceeded to let me go.

I would definitely fight if I was you. PROFILING!!!!

He has to show the time on his radar gun exactly when the ticket was written. As in if you were pulled over at 2:13pm, on Feb. 10th, 2010, it would have logged that on his sheet maybe at 2:12 or 2:11 on his gun. Hence the time and hit. Follow Nation... he is an officer, he knows what it takes to get you cleared.
