FIA World Rally Finland on Speed, Sunday 08-Aug-2004

Broadcast coverage of this weekend's rally will begin with WRC Rally Magazine showing at 6:00pm, and the WRC Rally Finland immediately following at 6:30pm.

I can already hear the SpeedTV theme song from the WRC programs playing in my head. Anybody have the long 'end credits' version of the music that Speed sometimes tacks onto the end of the program while highlighting the weekend's rally? I'd like to get ahold of a ripped .mp3 of that inspirational theme.

yes i'll be watching and recording it as i always do. and yes i too get that theme song hummy though my head just thinking about the show. GO PETTER he really needs those points. especially after the last DNF whith those dawn water spashes. Luckily for subura Finland does not have those water crossings.

No, rich really tries hard to avoid spoilers, he likes to find out who won from the resuts at the end of the telecast.

(It can be kinda sad at times like this......)

I never read the subscribed e-mail I receive from WRC.com. I'm not even sure why I subscribed to those rally reports to begin with.

Oh crap. that totally sucks. Both subies out of the race. Man Petter really needed that win too. but it's still on and it looks like it's going to be Marcus G. with only 2 stages left in the rally. even after all that gearbox troubles he didn't loose his lead. He really deserves it. But Markko Martin is kicking butt.

I hate Mikko Hirvonen ... of all the young drivers out there why did Subaru signed him? Who else would DNF their car on a super special stage?

If he'd at least kept Loeb from a 4th place finish I wouldn't be so mad. One more race and Petter won't even be in 2nd place anymore. I have no faith in him winning Germany.

Out of the remaining 12 stages after Petter restarted (under the SupeRally rules curently implemented), he got 8 fastest stage times, 3 top three times and he didn't compete in one (the super special).

Mikko restarted 4 stages and got 1 fastest stage time, 3 top five stage times.

Mikko is doing great. I can't wait to see what he can do once he starts maturing at the top level of the sport.
