they chose because they are cheaper for volume shipping. all my clients chose ups because they get amazing negotiated discounts and that affects their bottom line. their customers complain aobut ups service, but chose it because of the price difference. price has nothing to do with quality. the way i look at it: fedex=nordstrom, ups=walmart. sorry and hope i did not offend anyone.

if it was about discounts for volume shipping, dhl would be cheaper to ship with than ups

I only know of me and that "TurnWRX" guy as working (unfortunately) in the same station (SQLA) AND same work group. ( Marshall)

Appreciate the kudos. It's nice to hear comments like this.
Now just come on by and I can give you that 75% discount. We'll talk on the 24th in OAK.

Then again there are those "volume shippers" that just love FedEx too and we have quite a few of those in our area, i.e. Genentech has been shipping their product (and I mean the drugs themselves) via FedEx for more than 10 years now. I've seen their discounts on their end of the day FedEx report and it's amazing what they get !
I should know, that's been the route I've been taking care of for 8 years.

I haven't noticed any stripper poles or love-sacs... There has always been at least one hot chick in the store though... just today we had one chick come up and order up some business cards... the best part is... she is a stripper... i think we might accidentally make a few extras of those cards...
