Fake $100 bills WARNING !!
Everyone knows that it is an old thing, but the pen test will not reveal it as a fake bill because, it is indeed a real $5 bill and was converted to a $100 bill.
Do the "shine in the light test" and look for the same picture at the hollogram side (rightside of the note). It has to be Ben Franklin and not Abe Lincoln on the hollogram. You can also see that the strip is a $5 bill and not a $100.

whts the big deal if there fake? i mean you buy something with it the person never finds out, then that person buys something with it and so on. if it looks real then just spend it. (im saying this as if you got ahold of one somehow, not as if your the maker)

it a big deal to the person catches the error and then has to deal with it.
like the merchant who takes the fake bil and deposits it into their bank. the bank then runs its through their fancy schmansy bill checker and is stopped.
now the merchant is out $100, has to deal with authorities (granted they are not in trouble) plus all the time lost...
nah... that's not a big deal...

fake money sucks. i was in NY city that day of that black out and was suppose to grab the 3 am shuttle to make my flight. I found out that $200 of my bills were fake and it just so happend that it was all the cash i had on me. The hotel didn't have an ATM and I wasn't going to walk around NY looking for a bank at 2 in the morning. the shuttle wouldn't take a credit card i ended up missing my flight as i had to wait till daylight to find a bank and get real money. i ended up paying out of pocket for my missed flight to catch a jet blue one. i literally took off about 5 minutes before the black out happend. i was out $200 but would have been pissed off if i was stuck in that crappy city for another 3-4 days as were my coworkers who's flights were delayed because of the black out.
i guess, that's what i get for buying knock off pocket books when i'm there

That doesn't seem right, does it?
