Fairfield Subaru mashin on my car
Just a “heads-up” story:
So I had a coolant leak in my engine bay which sprayed everywhere and had my car steaming in the middle of the night off an exit in Vacaville. I brought it into the stealership this morning because it’s literally just down the street from where I live. As I was leaving for work 30 minutes later, I notice my wrx in front of me. Cruised 1st gear, then mashed up the hill in 2nd, all while the coolant was leaking. At this point, I was already turning left and was saying “what the ffuuu---“.
They called me back saying the fan was hitting the radiator hose causing the leak. I also mentioned I saw someone driving my car very aggressively and she asked if I was sure because they shouldn’t have taken it out because they should have done a pressure test first. Then she said, “oh looks like he did take it out from the paper work.”
I’m not sure if he was getting the car to temp, testing to see if the oil light would come on again (they said it sprayed on the sensor), but this seems pretty unacceptable. I’m going to talk to them further when I pick up the car. I also have an “i-club.com” sticker on my car and they just threw us a bbq earlier this year. I thought they’d be more respectful and know I’d be talking to you guys about any good or bad events.
Or maybe this stuff happens to everyone and I’m just being butt-hurt about it. In any case, just a heads up about Fairfield Subaru.

That sucks to hear especially about a new dealership that just had a bbq and what not.
I had the same incident happen to me a the Natomas Les Schwab. I took my car in for a simple rotate & balance since I bought my tires there they do the work for free, and I see some young kid pull it in the bays and then back out and go for a drive... At that point I was also like wtf? I didn't have any issues with wobbling or excessive wear so I stepped outside and I could hear him getting on it, because of the exhaust. So I went back in and told my buddy (assistant manager) about it and I he said he would talk to him about it. Come to find out they fired him a few days later... not because of that, but also some other shady things he did.
Kinda sucks when you trust someone to work on your car and they do that kinda BS...

^ haha. I should have left it at EQ Tuning but there wasn't a mail slot to throw my keys in. Also I didn't want to leave my car there by itself by the train tracks till Tuesday.

This is why both the forester and my 4runner have ways to deactivate most the power (cobb for the forester and a limiter switch(2000rpm) on the truck). Other than trusted places (like LIC or EQ) I hit the limiters so no one can mash on the cars.
