FYI: if you are found guilty with the written dec, you will need to request a new trial and then show up to the court.

When you do, they will ask before they start if anyone would like to change their plea to guilty. If you want traffic school you can do that.

You can also look around and see if you can recognize the officer that give you the ticket. Maybe they wont show up.

Be warned tho, the court will wait for the cop to show if he is late. You might end up sitting in the court room all day while they wait for him.

I read what you stated and if people are flashing their lights then oh well they can go around or whatever its not going to make me speed up or move unless it's flashing red and blue.

At the Northern Branch for SMC the judge just said is officer _____ here, then if not she said case dismissed right away that was only a few months ago for me too. CHP has been known to show up more than 75% of the time now where before they would never. Sheriffs rarely do and city depts just depend on how big the city is.

Have you considered hiring a lawyer to fight this citation? Your attorney can represent you in court, and you don't even have to show up if you don't want to.

If you end up getting a guilty verdict through the trial by written declaration, I would consider hiring the lawyer and requesting a trial de novo. I wouldn't risk going pro per, unless you're really confident that you can win.

new riders should really join some online traffic school first.
last year I received a ticket and found Cheap Easy Fast Online Traffic school at cheapeasyfast.com. It only took me about an hour and it was pretty easy and cheap too. I recommend it

But was it easy and cheap? Cheap, easy and fast? Cheap and easy?

You sure you aren't rattling on about a prostitute? Your vehicle leads me to believe that maybe traffic school isn't your real intention.
