Exterior Care/Detailing/Touch up/Buffing
Hi all,
I just thought I'd throw this out here to see what sort of feedback I got. For all of you in the Norcal/Sacto area and the Bay Area, what do you do for your cars paint as far as keeping it glossy and swirl free (MBP)? Do you have your car detailed every few months? If so where do you take it? What about preparation for a show 'n' shine? Is there any interest in finding a detail shop thats willing to work with the I-Club/NASIOC?
I was just thinking that 99% of the content here and at NASIOC is all performance/mod related leaving the paint and interior behind. It seems pretty obvious to me that if people are willing to spend the amount of $ they do on all oft he performance and aesthetic (bling) mods, then they wouldnt hesitate to take care of it. Just a thought. let me know what you all think on this topic.

I do my own detailing, but having an Aspen White car makes it easy, since swirls don't show up. I've never had any of my cars professionally detailed, but I'd rather learn to do it myself. Check out www.autopia.org for some detailing know-how.

if i am lucky i wash my car once a month (yes it is MBP)
i dont' care as much about how it looks. I didn't buy a subaru because it looked pretty, I bought it to drive and get dirty.
i have however been thinking about getting a professional detail done. too many scratches and chips, its starting to get annoying.
davon (dan avon7) has a friend that details cars and what i have seen on davon's car he does a very good job and for a reasonable price as well
