Matt & others who inquired: Sorry, the paypal account is still in the works... very soon though.

Li'l Jeff (aka Judd Bales): I appreciate it, bruddah.

I'm gonna be contacting some South Bay spots today, so y'all will definitely know.

Finally, I updated the 1st post w/ 2 add'l days at Mtn Mike's in Benicia. Also, let this post also serve as a reminder about today's event at Chevy's in V-town! Thanks, everyone. I'll be there at 7p.m. tonite, if you happen to stop in. I'll rep Subaru in case y'all don't know what I look like.

Earlier today, a relative sent me an MSNBC link on this massive recall. I'll reserve comment until the investigation of the incident that took my 4 dearly missed loved ones is completed.

Let's keep this on track w/ their upcoming memorial & its associated donation events. Thanks.

I updated the OP w/ their memorial website, a recent article in my area's newspaper, and the latest on donation events.

The restaurant events are just one of the ways to donate. They are also fun ways to come together & support local businesses as well as provide an opportunity for you & your contacts who don't necessarily know me or my family to support our cause. Many of you, as virtual (literally & figuratively) strangers, have been so gracious in offering to donate directly to the memorial fund. I cannot express how deeply appreciative my family & I are for these gestures of kindness. For those that asked via PMs & posts, the memorial website includes ways to donate directly to the memorial fund.

Thanks again to you all. Keep my family & I in your thoughts & prayers, and know that I pray for all of you as well. God bless.

Two more donation events @Mercury Lounge in SF. They graciously offered to donate 40% of the cost of their special 7-course meal! Click here for more details.

Thanks again for your thoughts, prayers & support.

1st post updated. Thanks.

Daniel, thanks for your thoughts. And fyi: I'm not married ( I dunno where you got that but no biggie.) Of the remaining family & friends, I'm just like my big bro.... happily unattached. Oh, and you can "unsticky" the thread. (Thanks again to sybir for doing that.)

Ray, a South Bay event was tough to pull off w/ the memorial service approaching fast. Luckily, we got the necessary support, and everything went very well. My big bro was so lucky to have such an awesome group of friends who rallied together to make their service something to treasure forever.

Not sure of the next time I'll be in the area, but if it's on a day w/ a regular meet, I'll do my best to show up. I'll PM or text y'all when I know I'll be coming through... possibly during the upcoming snow expos in a few weeks.

Don't know why I just came across this.. I guess I always skim the top threads because I assume it's forum rules

I'm so sorry to hear about this tragic loss, my condolences are with you and your family Cliff. I cannot imagine being in your shoes; I hope you're getting love and support from all directions!

Matt, I'm doing much better than I was over the past week or so. I was struggling a bit w/ some issues. Thanks for asking. Since a couple of y'all along w/ my South Bay buddies have inquired, I may still hold an event near my old stomping grounds. Even if their memorial service was a couple weeks ago, I'll check w/ my family on their thoughts. Also, I can ask our family friend if the donation info on the memorial website (http://www.lastrellasaylor.com/donations.html) still holds true. I'll update you & anyone else curious ASAP.

djchoongjae: I truly appreciate your kind words. Thankfully, little messages like yours as well as the aforementioned "love and support from all directions" brings some much-needed comfort. Oh, and I guess I should PM sybir to undo the "sticky" that he was so awesome in hooking up, eh?

Bump for All Souls' Day...

Today is All Souls' Day for those of the Christian faith, and from what I recall from parochial grade school, esp. if you're of the Catholic persuasion.

I'm actually in Chula Vista ('burb of SD) at the moment to commemorate my family's 4 heroes!

FYI: Our family friend informed me the other day that all the donation info is still good-to-go on http://www.lastrellasaylor.com/donations.html for those that we're inquiring recently.

Thanks again to you all.
