I actually work part time for them welding....I've heard that they are pretty much the only decent EVO tuners. But FWIW I really trust Ed's tuning, more than any reputable evo tuner *Bryan cough* sorry had something in my throat, lolz

Yea, Sean is a real perfectionist just like Ed. I have literally welded a piece over and over just to make him happy, he is REAL picky. But thats OK because it pushes me to be better and better.

I haven't heard anything bad about FF but never dealt with them personally.
I haven't tried tuning any mazdaspeeds because I don't have any software for them. The market doesn't seem large enough for the up front investment.

-installed head studs using the R&R method pulling a head bolt then installing a stud double nutted(they did not pull the head to do this). then when the head gasket failed during the tune they blamed it on the owner.

theres the proper way and then theres the other way.
im sure theres plenty of people happy with FF,but im sure half of those dont know any better. it wouldnt have been such a big deal but to tell the customer its his fault the HG failed, thats just wrong. the car was running just fine during the first tune prior to the studs and cams.

hes a good tuner when the car doesnt have any quirks. its when the car doesnt go as planned or doesnt have certain parts installed that his tunes fail.
i know first hand of a couple different people who went there with XX parts installed. he tried to tune it and when he couldnt deliver he blamed it on the parts installed. for example one guy had a dejon tool intake, hard pipee and FP turbo. they could make good power and blamed it on the turbo.
he went to a different tuner and was tuned w/no issues. just saying.

What are the AF on this tune? I PM for few questions reguarding a 2011 tune. I read a lot of reviews and I live near GST so its hard to thinking where should I go. What type of dyno do you use? Also are these numbers geared more for power or on the conservative side? These numbers look great but reliable tune to prevent motor detonation so not to worry about ringland issue is what I am looking for. Sorry I am new to this all...
Thanks...
Thanks...
Check out this 2011 STI we tuned today. This car started out bone stock with about 3500 miles on it. Today we added an MBC and performed a custom tune. The results are VERY impressive!
The red curves are bone stock and the blue curves are with just MBC and custom tune.
I ran boost at 17.5psi tapering to about 14psi by redline. The car felt very smooth and quick during the road test. I believe this is the most power I've seen with just a tune. Its amazing how little power these cars make on the stock ECU and how well they do when tuned properly.
Thanks
