Well really it's a preference in looks because there is a limit on max armor rating. I think it's 580 or something around there. You can get that with Dragon armor if you have 100 smithing/enchanting. I believe you can also get it with Ebony armor too. And with one of the heavy armor perks, all of that armor weighs 0 when equipped.

Looks like the just released 1.2 patch introduced all sorts of problems (i.e. crashing, lag, etc), according to some of the user posts on the Skyrim XBox 360 board on GameFaq.

Fixed issue where projectiles did not properly fade away
Fixed occasional issue where a guest would arrive to the player’s wedding dead
Dragon corpses now clean up properly
Fixed rare issue where dragons would not attack
Fixed rare NPC sleeping animation bug
Fixed rare issue with dead corpses being cleared up prematurely
Skeleton Key will now work properly if player has no lockpicks in their inventory
Fixed rare issue with renaming enchanted weapons and armor
Fixed rare issue with dragons not properly giving souls after death

or two blades of woe (thanks to pickpocket) and Ebony bow. There's also the special Elven bow from the Brotherhood quest where you kill the women at her wedding.
Haven't done any serious enchanting yet, just trying to get the skillups while as I go while dumping points into combat skills.
There are a couple of ways to train sneak up really high but my method is pretty simple: sneak EVERYWHERE all the time until about 40skill, then go find a bear out in the hills and stalk it for a bit. you can also practice assassination on the Barbas (invincible dog). That got me up to about 75skill and after that i just assassinated EVERY enemy I came across.
it makes crawling dungeons more tedius but you get 1 skillup for every 3-4 NPCs you kill.
sidenote, heres my newest skill build: http://www.ign.com/builds/the-elder-...00000511110111
despite having 100 sneak i dont have the top skill because it gets replaced by one of the skills at the end of the Thieves quest. if you have both skills they bugout and neither works.
good to know. so which perks should I select in the enchantment tree?
So how do u get sneak skill up so high? I know there's a place where u can backstab monks or something and they won't attack back, but is there another way to lvl sneak up easily? I'm still in Whiterun doing all the quests and trying to lvl up skills.

Daedric pound for pound is better than dragon armor for heavy armors, but it depends on your preference.
DragonSCALE armor is still light armor, which is what I'm aiming for. Ebony armor just looks sick, but that's heavy too I believe.
As for backstabbing folks and assassination, if you're dual wield and go into one handers you get the bonus for the damage too, pretty sick when you have 16x and then more damage added. Brother is doing that, but I haven't tried. Right now I'm enjoying the sneak + bow from range distance. Lots of sneak attack points.
I haven't tried to assassinate a bunch of stuff yet. Sounds like a very tedious task. I might make a new character and try running' around with some sexy daggers.

Got my smithing to 100 and now I'm working on enchanting. Made a 22% to bows necklace and a 18% to bows ring. combine that with my +30% archery bracers and dragon mask and my glass bow's damage is 103 with the legendary upgrade...

Had my first solo encounter with a dragon a couple days ago. Dragon was bugged. Thing wouldn't die even after I got its health to 0 multiple times (it would just reset its health after I zero it). It was also flying erratically and never attacked me.

Had an encounter with an ancient dragon near the college. Killed me a couple times while it took little damage from me. Kept using nothing but fire breath on me and drained my health pretty quickly. I have daedric armor/ebony stuff on with fire resistance (40% boots, 40% shield, 30% potion), and the dragon still gave me lots of problems.
I've faced a couple other dragons before, including another ancient dragon and none of them gave me any problems. Usually could cut them down with less than 8 swings from my weapon. Any reason why this particular dragon was so difficult? Using the same weapon, I barely made a dent on it. My daedric bow did a tad more damage but it still wasn't enough.
Anyways, was lucky enough that my quicksave made the dragon go away somehow, even though I quicksaved during the dragon fight lol
