You can remove the annoying mouse acceleration and laggy mouse issue if you have it by doing:
1. Go to your Steam Directory -> steamapps -> common -> skyrim -> Skyrim
2. Create a backup of the SkyrimPrefs.ini file
3. Open the file, then scroll down to where it says [Controls] and find bMouseAcceleration=1
4. Change to bMouseAcceleration=0
5. Save, exit, and play
1. Go to your Steam Directory -> steamapps -> common -> skyrim -> Skyrim
2. Create a backup of the SkyrimPrefs.ini file
3. Open the file, then scroll down to where it says [Display]
4. Add to the bottom of the section iPresentInterval=0
5. Save, exit, and play
Also make the Y/X pitch use the same values by doing
At the end of your Documents/My Games/Skyrim/Skyrim.ini file, add:
[Controls]
fMouseHeadingYScale=0.0200
fMouseHeadingXScale=0.0200
You may have to tweak the numbers until you discover what works for you.
Stolen from reddit. I hate playing games with mouse acceleration and weird mouse settings though, makes my brain ache.
Also static during npc dialogue fix and how to change field of view:
1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sound
2. In the Playback tab, right click on Speakers (or whatever has a green tick next to it), then click Properties
3. In the advanced tab on this new window, select 24 bit, 44100Hz (Studio Quality) in the drop down menu
1. Go to your My Documents -> My Games -> Skyrim -> skyrim
2. Create a backup of the skyrim.ini file
3. Open the file, then scroll down to where it says [General]
4. At the bottom of this section, add fdefaultfov=XX (where XX is the FOV value you want to change to)
5. Save, exit, and play

Played on my laptop till level 4 and it ran like **** even though its a i5 with a 540m (1gig)video card and all video settings on low, updated graphics driver and still nothing. Decided to get it on ps3 and havent played past the first 5 mins. I have to say everything looked just like it did on the laptop but the game runs a lot smoother. ps3 is 1 disk and 360 is 3 disks according to the gamestop guy which is why i bought ps3. 360 is supposed to be a little better graphically.

I guess that show's the competency of the average Gamestop employee

Uhh, I've been on this with my mediocre system. i could probably go phenom x4 and a 6950 and be all gravy, but eh it's fine for me.
PC graphics > 360 > Ps3.
Sure the game runes fine without any lag, but the visual crap is terrible on the ps3. The benchmarks and pictures were done by Tomshardware. Looks like crap on a ps3.
In addition, the game was built for the 360. The other 2 systems really needed development afterwards to do everything the game can on 360. The graphics on PC is still wayyy better. =)

Got the game today for pc. Played it a bit, and looks like a great game. But unfortunately, there's a keymapping bug which is really really annoying if you like to remap your keys to something other than default. I can't even dual wield or equip anything in the left hand if the left hand is not mapped to the default right mouse button. There are other lost functionality with regards to other keys if they are reassigned, but I won't get into that. Anyways, really hope they will patch this up soon. Otherwise I'm gonna have to stick with bow and arrows or a shield and sword for the entire game

Are you talking about favorites and the 1-8 hotkeys? If so, I haven't tried it yet.
For example, I have left hand mapped to left shift key. If I try to equip a weapon or spell in my left hand, it tells me to hit the mouse 2 button (right click) which doesn't work (have mouse 2 button mapped to Forward). Left click works fine, but only equips weapons/spells to my right hand. You can try it if u want.
I did a search and found a 3rd party map editor that works. So I'm using that now. It still would be nice if Bethesda would issue a fix for hard coded keys like the E and R and Tab buttons.

Im left handed so I use the Num Pad for my movement, it wouldnt let me bind WASD to the num pad but Im using AutoHotKey to force the game to my own key bindings. Also the game is pegged at 2GB ram usage even though I have 8gb which sucks. Heres a mod to force Skrim to use 4gb of ram, helps alot if you have at least 4gb ram
