What people don't realize is that cops can do whatever the hell they want and there is nothing you can do about it. so deal with it. No matter how much you argue with a cop, who is going to win?
does that mean they are right? no, but still you are going to lose

i got pulled over by a chp the other day for going 57 in a 40 on west todd between stony point and llano ...no ticket but he asked if i had any engine modifications... i told him i just had a muffler then he asked if i had an aftermarket intake i said no then he asked for my credentials as i open my glove compartment that my accessport is sitting there, he takes my info, comes back a minute later and says keep the speed down, have a nice day.

EPA study warns that automobile catalytic converters, which have dramatically reduced smog for twenty years, have now become significant and growing cause of global warming; converters break down compounds of nitrogen and oxygen from exhaust that can combine with hydrocarbons and produce smog, but researchers have suspected for years that converters sometime rearrange compounds to form nitrous oxide, which is 300 times as potent as carbon dioxide; new study estimates that nitrous oxide, nearly half of it produced by vehicles, now accounts for about 7.2 percent of gases that cause global warming; increase comes from increasing number of miles traveled by cars with converters, and problem has worsened with more efficient converters; EPA is not proposing solution at this time; official Wylie J Barbour comments
