What people don't realize is that cops can do whatever the hell they want and there is nothing you can do about it. so deal with it. No matter how much you argue with a cop, who is going to win?

does that mean they are right? no, but still you are going to lose

i got pulled over by a chp the other day for going 57 in a 40 on west todd between stony point and llano ...no ticket but he asked if i had any engine modifications... i told him i just had a muffler then he asked if i had an aftermarket intake i said no then he asked for my credentials as i open my glove compartment that my accessport is sitting there, he takes my info, comes back a minute later and says keep the speed down, have a nice day.

Essentially people that act like that have simply never been on the receiving end of a cop's power trip. The experience is eye-opening and life changing to say the least.

a 20 year old car does not have to pass current smog requirements. they have to pass what was current when the car was new.

j/k, it's just funny to hear you type something like that given your normal points of views...unless my sarcasm meter is broken.

Me too. I really want to tint my windows, but I'd just be asking for a ticket because I'd have to tint it all the way around for it to look good

I've ran 45% for over 2 years and never have had to worry about tint problems. I guess it depends on how much you want to do, but even 45% does keep the interior a bit cooler when parked in hot climates, though it still gets pretty damn hot.

Im actually helping the environment by going catless

EPA study warns that automobile catalytic converters, which have dramatically reduced smog for twenty years, have now become significant and growing cause of global warming; converters break down compounds of nitrogen and oxygen from exhaust that can combine with hydrocarbons and produce smog, but researchers have suspected for years that converters sometime rearrange compounds to form nitrous oxide, which is 300 times as potent as carbon dioxide; new study estimates that nitrous oxide, nearly half of it produced by vehicles, now accounts for about 7.2 percent of gases that cause global warming; increase comes from increasing number of miles traveled by cars with converters, and problem has worsened with more efficient converters; EPA is not proposing solution at this time; official Wylie J Barbour comments
