Again, not to bash on AutoHQ, but if something goes wrong with Ed's tune or Mike's tune, then they are local. No passport needed.
actually you can datalog and see whats wrong then fix the map and send back

takes about an hour

hey you cut out the real reason for my post !!!!!

but you are paying for the tuners time and in the case of ecutec the lic. too
its that simple
time = money

all tuners have thier preferences. i mean if i walked in with my POS EM you would probably kick me out of your shop

What is the point of this? In the best case your post seems unprofessional and absolutely value-free.

This is what they charge, and they probably have put a bit of thought into it. Some other places could potentially be initially cheaper money-wise but for me with my car experiences, cost is not always displayed in dollars.

I have no personal experience with Shiggy or the other current tuners in the Bay except for the one that ECUtek flashed/tuned my car back in 2002. I do not have a favorite, but I guess I don't see the point in making out-of-context comparison statements to make these guys look like they are charging too much for the overall job. Even if you weren't representing a competitor.

You missed the point of it. This was not at all saying what they charge is too much. I was mearly stating that the EcuTek license is cheaper than what another poster had stated. EcuTek sells the license. My post actually had nothing to do with AutoHQ whatsoever. If you go back in the thread (post #17) you can find what I was replying to was not even something about AutoHQ:

You are grasping at straws again. Like I told you already, I do not work on Subarus so this would be no gain to me whatsoever. Go back to your gay rights bashing.

Does Shiggy have anyone lined up with the new Tomei ARMS for a tune? I'm curious to see what kind of numbers he can pull out of it.
