ECU Reflash in the North Bay?

I need to get the ecu reflashed in order to get the key for my car to work with the immobilizer.

Where can i get this done in the north bay? (if possible, Sonoma county, the closer the better), if not, whats the closest place i could go to?

would i have to bring the car in order to get it done or do they just need the ecu? (i dont really know how the reflashing thing works)

Have you tried to see if the dealers will work with you? Maybe Prestige in Santa Rosa or Marin Subaru? I know the dilema you're having since you don't have your name on the title of the wrecked car so thats going to be one of the bigger obsticals. Most places won't do it since you can't proove you're 100% the owner or your name on the title.

I don't know about FLi, but LIC doesn't do what he's asking.

What car is it?

If the OBD2 port is working it's likely I can program it for you.

well no i got the blank key and i got it cut to fit the ignition, and it turns the electricity on and all.

they can't get their machine to program the key to the ecu or whatever they do for some reason, they just told me that and that they don't know what to do or where to send me for more help.

Greg or no Greg, Prestige is the supreme Stealership. They're incompetent and arrogant. I'm not at all surprised they couldn't fix it.
I would go as far as reasonably possible to find a responsible dealership, like Carlsen in Redwood City or even Santa Cruz Subaru.

Well, he needs to come see me in order for me to help out. I've given him some advice on what to do next. If he'd asked me before the car left the building, we might have resolved this issue already.
