haha yeah, east coast can have their Hurricanes ANYDAY, earthquakes can be as destructive, but its like a lightswitch or fast forward button, theres no boarding up windows or sandbags or rain boots...or driving boats down main street.

i just love when i hear people from the southeast part of USA saying theyd rather have hurricanes than earthquakes

hahah this being the same cousin that i work with who texted me that he is going to claim pain and suffering for working during a earthquake. damn new jersey fools!

barley felt it up here in SF though, small waves, no more than 10 seconds worth. pretty far away though.

my favorite quake was in my sophomore year of high school. the class was silent and the doorway to the hallway (second floor of the school) was open so you could hear the earthquake roaring down the hallway and everyone was like "what the f...."
