Oh, and just so ya know, dogs that have ears that lay down aren't as susceptible to ear infections. But I guess ear infections are cool. Cut away!
actually, ears that lay down are MORE susceptible to infections because heat and moisture builds up in them. But a good owner will keep them clean anyways. Other things such as diet will influence that too.

I dont think thats true. Any water dog that I can think of doesn't have pointed ears. My German Shepherd swims a lot, and I am always drying the inside of his ears out. From what I hear, people that have labs don't have that problem.

Your post doesn't really even make any sense, so I don't know where to start to refute it.

what part of my post doesn't make sense? water dogs, like the Portuguese water dog, do not have pointed ears. Water that gets inside of a dog's ear will often cause an ear infection. My dog, a German Shepherd, has pointed ears, and he gets water in his ears all of the time. Labs are also, in my book, considered water dogs, as they duck hunt and love to swim. They do not have pointed ears. I have many friends with labs, and they don't have to deal with drying their dog's ears out like I do. Is there an easier way I should explain that to you, or should I attach some pictures. That might be easier for you to understand.

if it could cause infection to the dog, why do vets still perform ear cropping? they know better, i bet if u have a pit ull have its ears cropped too. and were just asking if you guys know a place.. were not asking your opinions about ear cropping.
