As a side note the Hayward station has had it's E85 pumps switched off as the DMS/CARB have tested the E85 and their tests have concluded that the fueling is in fact E56. Hopefully they get this situation sorted out in short order so we can all get back to having less distance to travel for our corn fuel!

There's still concord and Fairfield though! Just got some from Fairfield and it's $2.34 and tested well. Btw GST was able to pull 71whp and 91wtq from my car over 91.. Stock turbo, stock block, stock head with came dropped in. But not a Suby so results may very. It's the best thing to happen to my car since purchase. Makes more power, and drives 1000x better, smoother etc.

Personally I wont tune a car that is running map switching between regular gases and E85 unless it has a Zeitronix wideband with warning box, certain exceptions do apply but are not the norm.

mike do you recommend this even with my car running straight e85? and when can I get in for a tune? pm me I can never get ahold of you.... mike

That's awesome. If they start getting a few more stations a bit more readily available I may have to consider getting a map for E85.

Hmmm, it's very tempting to go E85.

Fairfield and Davis are the closest ones up north.

I'm in Santa rosa and make a trip to Fairfield about once every three to four weeks if anyone wants to start pitching in and maybe swapping every other month or something I'll be glad to help out.

Yeah I get the crazy stink eye from people in sonoma county too.. But I drive an Evo so it's almost to be expected I guess. There's no conversion to speak of really. Just big injectors and a tune(wideband if you don't already have it).

LOL I throw a like all the time to wrx's and wrx wagons, sti's, evo's, etc, and 95% of the time get nothing in return. I'm starting to get jaded.

Use about 1/4 tank of E85 with the rest 91oct and you'll have a nice 93 oct mix for WAY less than it'd cost to mix in 100oct or a full tank of 93oct.

E85 doesn't work like that. That would just make yourcar run really lean.
