E85 ethanol in the SF/Peninsula area
#2
I wish. I did a lot of research into trying to find somewhere local to get this stuff. I'd get huge injectors and get a tune on it. Even if it's more expensive (even though it wouldn't be) because I would be buying 100% American made fuel. Oh, some lab in Berzerkely was the only place I saw listed as having e85 and it was a private filling station..probably research.
We need to learn from Brazil on this one.
It would be even sweeter if they gave you a smog pass like the diesel guys lol.

We are seeing 50whp+ on E85 over 91 octane on Evos so far.
Magic gas.
I have only seen a 3-4mpg loss on my Evo so far.
$3.49 a gallon

wooot! Hey, do you know if there is any type of "alternative fuel" smog benefits of converting over like there is with a CNG or Propane?

I don't see how that would be true considering regular 91 octane has atleast 10% ethanol already. I'm not aware of any violations off the top of my head either.

What a timely thread! I was just dong a search for "ethanol conversions" and many websites popped up. Of course, they say stuff like "Please note: not legal for sale or use in California on any certified or controlled vehicles/engines.." Ugh!!
