Steezy DO NOT wash your car right out of the body shop!!

Your paint needs to cure for 30 days before you wash it off with any soap whatsoever!

You may spray it off with water only.. And do not put any wax on your new paint, you will kill your new paint job, that needs a 30 day wait time too..

I'm surprised the shop didn't tell you that...

hmmmm....

interesting.

is this a new thing for paints? i remember my truck getting body work and i remember seeing the shop doing full details on the cars they just worked on...

i took my truck from the shop so fast that they didnt even get a chance to do any washing or stuff, so i dont know if i was lucky or not...

The stuff they detail your car with in the body shop is safe for fresh painted cars. I like washing my car at the body shop the soap they use is so nice!

When I had my STi repaired after the deer incident, they told me to wait 30 days before waxing it.

Good thing she was a garage queen.

$10,545 was the estimate. I had to replace the front bumper, front lip, left headlight, front left and rear fenders, driver side door, left passenger door, and left passenger window. I paid........NOTHING!

Oh ****, that's a LOT of damage. Don't feel bad... Hopefully yours wasn't parked at your house un-insured when someone crashes into it.
