Is it just me, or have none of the i-clue LEOs commented on this thread?
This is the **** I think of every time I hear the typical "don't complain about police, and then expect them to be there when you need them". I have yet to have a cop there when I needed one....
- I get jumped by drunk *******s and then call the cops (instead of cutting someone up or burning their houses down, since I knew who they were), cops do nothing
- friends bike is stolen, and he knows who stole it and where it is, cops do nothing
- someone speeds through traffic, cuts across 3 lanes in front of me AND a cop, cop does nothing
I could go on, and on, and on.
You always hear that cops are out there "fighting the real crime"...but it seems they have a lot of time for writing bull**** tickets!!

I'm sure this is a pretty isolated incident. I mean, I hate bad police officers, profiling, and abuse of power as much as anyone else. But let's not turn this into cop bashing thread. OP just had to do what he's gotta do and keep us updated with anything that results from it, whether it be going down to the stations and filing a complaint, or finding the douche that messed up his car and saw wassup.
Trust me I've had my share of good and bad cops, both while driving my car and riding my moto.

LoL, so not only did the cop not give a **** about your car. He wrote you a ticket for frontin' some drunk dudes.
So in the end you have to pay for cleaning/new interior. Then you have to pay for the ticket. (ticket is really justified, even though you were the one that got pwned). Still sucks to get double pwned in the sphincter though. Find a good detail shop, or just purchase new interior (Wayyyy cheaper than a painted body part =P)

UPDATE:
So i went to the local PD the other day, basically i got ****ed,
When the cops told the other guy to go home they took NO information on the guy, so baiscally i got ****ed there.
I went to the PD and explained my story, +10000000 for the tech that totally signed my ticket off, apparently the officer that cited me was not available that day or the next 2 weeks for reasons unexplained.
i explained my story and all i had to pay was some sign off fee $10 no biggie,
the bottle was a lipton ice tea bottle so it cleaned out ok
hey ballz, as far as the wife hookin me up with a sign off she cant do that, she just isnt allowed.
anyway, lesson learned, dont drive anywhere with my windows down, no matter how nice it is outside, and when in cotati, you are better off taking the law into yoru own hands...

Wow... just heard this story from my co-worker today and dang.. that sucks! I'm wondering though.. who was the cop?
I just got dinged on Friday by a stupid cop who clearly had nothing better to do then wait at a stop sign for hella long near Adobe road. He pulled me over literally 3 minutes after getting off work on my way home for the weekend.. I seriously didn't do anything wrong too.. especially after knowing the fact that I already got a ticket the month before. I know the cop was being a douche because originally, he dinged me for just my exhaust but when he came up to me to ask for my info, he noticed that my window on my driver side was still showing (no more then an inch) and he asked me "You DO know that you have tints on your front window... right?" like a smart ***. Of course, I replied yes, then he said that I needed to get it removed then made me pop my hood.
Now I have to remove my TBE and front window tints. I just had them put on too!

cotati been hatin on the subies recently, not that i am blaming him but i think it might have to do with Splinters accident, i noticed since then they been being a bunch of douchebags. RP police had a girl in a black wagon pulled over near costco the other day.
see whats cheaper, having the tints removed and re installed same witht he TBE or just paying the fine and risk gettin pulled over again.
i got a stock exhaust hangin in the garage if you need one to pass, as long as you arent thinking about redoing the DP as far the the tints go though just see what the ticket is and if its less than reinstall just pay it

Citizens Arrest
As soon as you stopped you should have gotten the persons info who was pointing. Then you should have told the cop that you wanted to make a citizens arrest. You would have then had to testify in court but at least justice would have been served. The Cop was just being VERY lazy. As is usually the case. The magic cop code of a lazy cop is 849b.

fyi: if any of you get into this kind of situation, politely ask for another police officer to come and take a statement. if the cop doesnt comply, then call it in yourself. then take down the cop's badge number. do not leave the scene of the crime untill the matter has been taken cared of to your sastisfaction. as for the ticket, you cant really fault him for that. it IS illegal. but that should have been overlooked in the pursuit of the greater good but those are the odds.

As far as tint goes....
I searched Google for CA tint laws and 30% tint in the front is legal in California. Originally, I thought any tint in the front was illegal, guess not.
Was able to get 32% tint at the local tint spot, still illegal, ohh well, its close.
