Douchebaggery at Livermore Subaru
So I picked up a set of sideskirts for my 06. Now I have done my home work and know I need to pick up a few parts to install them. I even went so far as to obtain the part numbers to make it easier on everyone.
First the parts guy debates with me about which parts I need. I assure him that I have done my homework and know that I need these 12 clips and the two endcaps for the rear. He mumbles a bit and heads to the back room.
He comes back and is now being friendly, big smile on his face, and informs me that he will have to order the parts and would call me when they get in.
I ask if I can pay now so I can pick them up even if the parts department is closed... more mumbling. He asks for my name, which I give him, then he says goodbye. Im still standing there and he give me this strange look, like why the hell wont this guy leave.
I ask if he would like to take a phone number so he can call me. Again, more grumbling, and some scribbling. I will be supprised if I get a call.
I am still confused as to what I did to upset this guy. Anyhow, I just want to get these damm parts so I can install the sideskirts. Does anyone know of a dealership that would have these instock?

Fokk 'em. www.subarugenuineparts.com to get them shipped to you, or talk to Fremont Subaru (if you're willing to drive there).

Yeah, Livemore's service/parts is pretty crappy. Are you young? I went in there when I was 18 to diagnose a brake problem (big mistake I know), and they basically treated me as a waste of time.

I'm not going to name any names but my I know the older service managers there used to treat me like I raced my car all the time. When the younger ones were working there, they treated me like a real customer. I haven't dealt with the Parts guys though.

Being young always is a minus when dealing with car dealerships and they rarely take you seriously, even if you dress/act mature..most of the time. (I hear really good things about Subaru of Fremont though)
But also telling someone that they are wrong and you know more than them usually will **** them off..even if you are right.

The d-bag said I was buying the wrong part. When I asked him about the part that was supposed the "right" part, he could not give me the name or the part number that he was speaking about. The whole time he repeated, "That's not the right part." Well, I told him to give me the part anyway. Went back to work, installed it in 5 minutes on my lunch, and it's been working ever since. Me = 1, Capitol Nissan D-Bag = -1.

LOL I ordered from that dude at livermore.
I was told similar **** as well. "Um that is not the right part, you need two of these".
I dont play those games so I had to pull the f-ck off and let me show you move.
I took his a$$ outside and pointed out the part on a car in the lot. Shut his A$$ up quick..sometime you have to show them.
He did call me back btw.
I laughed when I came to pick up my parts.

What about the blond?
Is it just me or has anyone else seen the smoking hot blondie behind the parts counter that rings you up? G-string and all she's smok'n and really nice. The guy that works there, the chubby dude, he's pretty cool. I've never had any issues with him.
