Donate a toy, get a free ALMS ticket

Laguna Seca is doing a toy drive to benefit the Monterey Peninsula Salvation Army. Bring in a new unwrapped toy to the souvenir store and get a free Sunday ticket to next May's ALMS races at Laguna Seca. I am making a trip to the track this Saturday to drop off around 20 toys. Here is the website for more details: http://mazdaraceway.com/pages/news-item?r=G6WQOWTOSC

If Seca was closer I'd do it.

Yeah, the problem is that the gas to get down there would cost me more than the ALMS ticket. I'll just go drop off a toy somewhere local and buy my ticket retail.

I know what you mean. It costs me about $15 roundtrip to Laguna Seca. That's why I am brining 20 toys, for my family and some friends.

Yeah, very cool! Looks like it was done during an ALMS warm-up/parade lap.

Just make it a whole day trip and enjoy Monterey while you're down there.

Thanks for the post, I live about 3 miles from the track. I didn't know they were doing that. If you come down, dont miss a couple of laps on Los Laureles grade, epic road that goes from Laguna to Carmel Valley, then go out carmel valley road. No cops, (trust me.) and its an epic rally road that is used in many a car and drive road test.

If you think there are no cops on carmel valley rd. you haven't lived out there long enough

I have lived in carmel valley my whole life, was born here actually, I am talking about the DEEP valley where the road gets good. And I know about the cops, got a speeding ticket leaving my driveway a month ago. But the cops don't go more than a mile past the village.

I love how quick people are to judge, and make statements on things they know nothing about. I LIVE ON CARMEL VALLEY ROAD. And I think I saw you on the road when you used to live here. I have 0 fears about seeing cops in the deep valley.

oh, and the speed limit in the deep valley is 55, but most of the corners are scary at 40 mph, so you really dont have to break any laws to have the time of your life out there. Watch out for rednecks in trucks, they like to take up ALOT of the road, if you want a buddy I'll be around on Sunday.

I grew up in Toro Park/Corral area and lived there up until less than a year ago, I'm not making statements on things I don't know. I've seen plenty of cops on the grade and CV Rd. in both directions. They may not be deep to the south on CV Rd., but thats not what you said initially. Don't change around what you're talking about and then get all pissy.

I don't know what year STi you have, but I think I only really remember seeing one or two 04/05 silver STi's in the area. My car was kind of hard to miss with unpainted Morette's and the Velocity sticker in the corner of the windshield.
