Does anyone know how to activate a Clifford keyless alarm or similar?
My dad decided to take out the van after a few years of collecting dust in the garage. He took out the fuse for the alarm about ten years ago. We hooked up the alarm and everything works but the alarm doesn't go off when the door is opened manually. The indicator light doesn't flash when the alarm is activated. It just stays lit the whole time.
Does anyone know how to activate this alarm (cz57rrtx12r) or similar model?

the online consensus is that this is the manual for the alarm your looking for or will work with the alarm you have. hopefully its just in valet mode like the guy above said. hope it works for you

I followed the instructions on how to exit valet mode but the thing is is that it says to flip the switch back to 'center position' but my switch only has two positions and no momentary.

usually the protocol is
1. turn key forward to acc position
2. flip valet switch
3. turn key back
i know some alarms have more detailed protocols but if it is a 1 button, it's probably the basic one above.

My 15+ year old Clifford 600 also has a 3 position toggle switch. Center position is nromal mode. UP pos is latched and also goes into valet mode when IGN is first on the ACCESS or ON position.
Bottom post on toggle is MOM and not used unless you are programming the alarm system...
