Does anyone know of any local industrial slums that I can use?

As the title says, does anyone know of any vacant/abandoned factories/industrial slums that I can use for photography? Has to be local, somewhere in the bay area...

I know there are plenty out there, I just need to find them. I used to take pics at the old cannery in Niles, but they tore it down, so I need a new spot.

Thanks!

Daniel

portions of potrero hill in san francisco, and the bayview/hunter's point area. i know you have firearms, so that's the only reason i would send you to bayview. i think you'd be able to defend yourself. my ***'d get shot.

Mare Island has dozens of buildings. Barracks used for fire training, industrial buildings left and right.

But there's no access, I used to work there sometimes ... it's locked up pretty tight I think.

I'll see what I can do about getting access - usually I drive right off the exit on Hwy 37 and drive right onto the base. From there, I usually turn right within about a 1/2 mile, and park right beside the abandoned barracks for shooting photography there. I've also inspected the warehouses which are a bit further down, and if you don't mind crawling through the access holes, you can get right into the buildings. I thought he's looking for exterior building shots with his car, however.

I think there's a place in Alameda in some sort of military space. I believe there's public access cause I went to some sports complex there. It might have been called Bladium. Lots of warehouse bunker looking things that might be of use to you.

Thanks a bunch guys. I really appreciate it!

Maybe we can do a photoshoot somewhere once we find a spot. Industrial slums + nice cars = GREAT photography. Maybe I'll get some of my hot model friends to come along for eye candy models too?

If you drive around East Palo Alto, you will find many examples of a post-Armageddon wasteland. Make sure that you're packing or you will never emerge alive.

Sounds like fun - maybe I can bring my mini if it's Treasure Island.
