Dude, I think that's illegal, you should call EDD on them and file a class action lawsuit.

all jobs where you are on salary are like that. you always work more than standard 40 hours a week and don't get compensated. welcome to the real world
No, not all jobs. What is happening to the people in the game industry is abuse, not the real world.

so far im enjoying my new job as a loan officer. i don't telemarket so its not one of thoes jobs that you call people while they are home eating to talk about their mortgage. the work week is long, some times 60+ but the compensation is really good. i have nothing to complain about.

weird but true, i really dig my job. I sell one of microsoft's software apps......it's really an enjoyable place to be, and thankfully I have a killer group of people to work with.
oh, and if anyone is looking for a sales job, hit me up, we're hiring aggressively.

I work in a law firm in the consumer bankruptcy dept. I'm a secretary/paralegal. it's an ok job. It's laid back, got a great boss, 35 hour work week, close to everything (except music store and electronic store, shoe store, well.. ok, maybe it's not close to everything haha) (Embarcadero Center) and I get to spend most of my day here in I-club. man,.. come to think of it, my job is depressing!
