Does the air smell like burning plastic to anyone else?
When I left work, I noticed the air looked like crap and I could smell burning plastic. I thought I was imagining it at first, but then I found this.

(04-07) 04:00 PDT Redwood City -- A fire burning at a scrap metal yard in Redwood City has been upgraded to a second alarm, the Redwood City Fire Department reported.
Firefighters received word at 8:07 a.m. of a blaze burning at a scrap metal yard located at 699 Seaport Blvd. "where they dismantle cars and salvage metal,'' Redwood City fire Capt. Bruce Meisenbach said.
A second alarm was called just before noon today.
The fire is generating a lot of smoke, Meisenbach reported, and firefighters are keeping in touch with the weather service to monitor the wind.
Meisenbach said firefighters are also monitoring possible toxins and are clearing out some pedestrians who have come out to watch.
Seaport Boulevard between Seaport Court and Blomquist Street is closed so that firefighters can access a larger water main to help fight the fire, Meisenbach reported.
"In order to maximize the water system, (we) need to close the street,'' Meisenbach said.
Redwood City police are also at the scene, a police dispatcher said.
Meisenbach said there have been no reported injuries to civilians, yard workers or firefighters.
