The Giants are dead yet.
And here's the conspircay theory call of the day.
Jim Tracy got his coaching start under...Felipe Alou. The Giants will win the game tommorrow, now the question is will the Rockies come through or will they do like in 1993 and lose every time the giants need them to win.

you have no hope when you have a closer like Hermanson (or that loser Herges), and you lose a guy like Joe Nathan on the Ponson gamble...

Nen will prolly never pitch again.

The only stud pitcher the Giants have is Schmidt, the young guys still have to prove themselves.

Mad props to finley and the dodgers...

but Hermanson and Alou/Sabean lost the series/game/division/season for the Giants. C'mon Hermanson for like 6 straight games...get him some help. And to trade away Felix Rodriguez halfway through the season...WTF???? Pierzinski can go suck Finley's dick...cause that's what he's good for...

I think everyone's missing the mark in placing blame. McGowan et al. are on the hook for this. If they would spend more money they could go a long way. How are you not going to spend money to try and get possibly the greatest player of all time a world series ring before he retires.

sorry...i find it hard to blame peter macgowan after he privately financed that beautiful park is still $20 mil/year in debt for the next 15 or so years. I'm sure he still makes money...but at least he's better than Selig (or rather Selig's daughter <wink, wink>, and 95% of the owners out there). Check out the Giants budget...it's more than middle of the pack. It's just some bad moves by Sabean the past couple of years has blown up in their face (read Ponson...Pierzynski).

You're kidding right. If the Giants don't start spending to get what they need than people will stop coming and paying 8bucks for a beer. Sabean is one of the best GM's in baseball. He hasn't made one salary cap mistake recently. Name one, you can't do it. The only dead weight is Robb Nen and there isn't anything you can do about that. The only thing close to a mistake was Alfonzo but for the production they aren't paying him that much money.
