so I use valet last night and tipped the guy this morning 20 bucks. I was at the peppermill casino in Reno and I live here as well. Well I had to be at work in 20 mins and the wait was 25 min for your car. I go up to one of the guys and told him about work and needing my car asap. Well 2 min later I hear my car coming. So instead of waiting 25 min like other people I got my car in about 4 min total and guy got a 20 tip

To me tipping at the end when you get your car back is not how you should do things. If I use valet I tip when I get out before the person drives my car.

I don't tip, but then again, I can park my own car just fine. If I am going to a place where I know ahead of time that I will have to valet, I will rent a limo/towncar and leave the suby at home.

<--- person who never tips unless the service was extraordinary.

ya i agree with danielliez on this one... i dropped a lot of money on my car... i freak out when people ask me to park it... this happened to me in san francisco... i just wanted to park my car somewere so we could walk around, next thing you know some guy walks up and tells me he's gonna park it for me, i didnt know i drove into a valet parking spot.. man, i was watching him like a hawk!! no joke lol, as he drove i walked behind him, and i didnt tip cause he parked it 10 ft from where he got in!!!! i couldve done it and saved myself a panic attack!! but dont get me wrong i would have no prob tipping valet guys if i was going somewere that i actually knew had valet parking, but i would probably take a different car, not my baby!!!
