I had to write a paper on marijuana and I spent many hours on researching. history of marijuana is like a dramatic love story where the main character dies.

If it's too expensive then you need to get a prescription and grow your own! Don't let the "man" get you down...get them on your side!

When I look at everyone I went to HS with and where they are now as far career wise or what they have achieved. My friends who don't smoke weed are faaaar more successful. Now this is not some science experiment but it doesn't take a genius to figure out who is going in the right direction in life and who isn't. Most of my buddies who still smoke weed daily (Im 27 years old btw) have a hard time keeping working or even doing anything besides kinda working at their mediocre jobs and getting high. Most jobs that are worth having are gonna drug test, at least for pre-employment and we all know how long this stuff stays in your system. Now every pothead I know says they have some system to take some pills and drink cranberry juice or some other crazy idea that was probably conjured over a blunt at some point, lol. But eventually it will catch up to you. My employer does pre-employment, random, and "reasonable cause" hair follicle drug testing and more and more companies are going to this. Its much cheaper, and much more accurate with other drugs besides weed that will be out of your system in 2-3 days.

So remember drugs are bads kids ummk?

By the tone of your post it sounds like you HATE weed. Why such a strict, zero tolerance standpoint?

On the flip side of that coin I have friends that are successful and smoke weed. It doesnt take weed to make you a loser... people can do that all by themselves!

I do agree that in high school, it's too young to smoke. What it does is set a person up for being irresponsible. Now the same can be said about alcohol. I started smoking in college and have ever since (I'm 35). Many of my friends who smoke are successful professionals too. The key is to have this mindset, work hard so you can afford to have your activities. This is true for many things, not just pot.

Your statement about any job worth having will test is not true. If the tech industry tested, many people would not have jobs.

What I was pointing out was your incomplete sentence.

I have no problem with it for medical use (my mother has had to use it), however beyond that, ive seen what it does to normally very intelligent and confident people. It turns them into giggling morons that could not string together enough IQ to figure out 2x2.

That, and I have a zero tolerance standpoint on my property, anything that could jeprodise my ownership of land (and remember drugs found on property CAN lead to forfeit of said house) is strictly a no no.

Not posted as in written down on a board. However I do make it quite clear to guests what is, and is not acceptable. No drugs, no underage drinking, no ****ing in the jacuzzi, and stay the hell out of the bedrooms.

Simple really.

I like to think I'm not a complete moron when sober, however after 2 liters of Stone Ruination IPA I'm not the brightest... and I can keep drinking after that and get to the point where I can't even SAY "2 times 2." Yet booze is legal?

Where would our culture be without drugs?

Where? a much, much better place, where people could put their energy into bettering our species and not trying to drag it down to the level of chimps...

Also point of order on this, I can't stand being around drunks eather. I myself can't drink past a glass of wine or a single beer (I have in the past had a very bad drinking problem) and I admit I tend to look down my nose at others who can't control themselves.

That's funny, a better person would not look down there nose, but look towards someone out of control with empathy and offer help.

And you're making comments about our culture being in a better place.

An after thought... It seems to be the sober ones in power that are more of a detriment to society than the powerless potheads and drunks that are unmotivated and/or unable to do anything.
